Dual Voice Coil Sub ~ Need help with amping it proper?

Your sub needs to be wired at 4 ohms. Do this by connecting the positve of one VC to the negative of the oppisite VC. The remaining two terminals will be the input from your amp, which will be bridged, putting out roughly 340wrms. But your alpine should do just fine, just don't turn your gain all the way up.
