Does my story sound good so far?

As I looked up from laying limp in my cold bed, i could see the only things that could keep me warm and alive. Six lanterns sputtering there last tiny breathe of fire. In the next room all i could here was my mother and father fighting over whether or not they should pay for more matches or a doctor. It would take about a month for the doctor to make it to their house, but matches could make it within a day. I laid over the side of my bed and reached to the rag in the far corner of my room. Farther, just one more foot. Plop. I lay face down on the hard wood floors grabbing the ends of my comforter trying to climb back up into my spot on the bed. My mother rushed into the room and grabbed my hands to help me back up. She grabbed the rag off the floor and rolled it up to where it looked like an egg roll. She softly laid it upon my head and a sudden cold feeling was sent through my veins and i felt a relief from my fever. Any ideas for the rest? Does she die in the end? Live get married then get sick and die? or does she live and shes alone? or does she live happily ever after? and does my story even sound good... any advice for it?
